How do I order custom notebooks?

Ordering custom notebooks is easy. Choose your notebook style, size, and page layout, upload your artwork or logo, and place your order online. If you need help with setup, file prep, or choosing the right notebook, you can always contact us and we’ll walk you through the process. Is there a minimum order for custom notebooks?

No minimum order is required. You can order a single custom notebook or thousands. Bulk discounts are automatically applied as quantities increase, making larger orders more cost-effective.

Do I need an account to place an order?

No account is required to place an order. Creating an account is optional but recommended for easier order tracking and reordering.

Can I reorder the same custom notebook later?

Yes. Reordering is simple. If you have an account, your past orders are saved. Otherwise, you can reference a previous order number and we’ll help you reorder the same design. Use the contact us page to get in touch.

Design, Artwork & Proofs

Will you design the cover of the notebook?

No, you will need to submit the final artwork for the cover. We will place your final artwork on the cover for you for perfect placement and printing of the notebook

What should I submit for the cover artwork?

You will need to submit the final artwork that will be printed on the cover of the notebook. We can't make edits to the artwork, we simply place your finalized artwork and can make adjustments to the location placement during the approval process.

What file formats do you accept for artwork?

We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and EPS files. High-resolution artwork (300 DPI preferred) produces the best print results. If you’re unsure about your file, send it over — we’re happy to take a look at what you would like printed before you order.

Will I receive a proof before printing?

Yes, you will receive a PDF proof for review that will need to be approved before production of your notebooks.

Can I personalize each notebook with a different name or text?

Yes, personalization options are available for many notebook styles. Contact us to discuss variable names or text.

Can you help with design adjustments or setup?

Once you upload your artwork and purchase your notebooks, you will receive a PDF proof for review that will need to be approved before production of your notebooks. Send us your artwork and we place it on the cover for approval and printing.

Can I mix page styles or paper colors?

Yes, select notebooks offer mixed or “hodgepodge” page options. Availability varies by notebook type.

Are there different binding styles available?

Yes, binding options include stapled, perfect-stapled, wire-bound, spiral-bound, and ring-bound notebooks.

What’s the difference between stapled and perfect-stapled?

Our stapled notebooks use traditional saddle-stitch binding and hold fewer pages. Perfect-stapled notebooks allow for more pages and have a clean, perfect-bound book style spine, but secured with staples not glued.

How does bulk pricing work?

Bulk pricing is automatically applied as you increase your order quantity. The more you order, the lower the price per notebook. For custom quantities not available online, request a custom quote.

Do you offer nonprofit, school, or organization discounts?

Yes! We offer special pricing for nonprofits, schools, educators, students and organizations. Contact us to apply additional discounts to your order.

Do you offer a discount for businesses?

Yes! Contact us so we can set up your order and apply the best discount to save you the most money. This discount is in addition to the bulk pricing.

Does the price change if I increase my order quantity?

Yes, the price per notebook decreases as quantity increases, and pricing updates automatically on the product page. For custom quantities not available online, request a quote.

Are setup fees included in the price?

Setup is included. Send your artwork and we will place it on the cover, you can make small placement adjustment during the approval process.

Production & Turnaround Time

How long does custom notebook production take?

Production typically takes 4–7 business days after proof approval.

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship via standard ground shipping, with an average delivery time of 3–5 business days once production is complete.

Do you offer rush or expedited orders?

Rush production may be available depending on the project. Contact us to check availability.

When does production begin for my order?

Production begins only after your digital proof is approved.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

We currently ship notebook orders within the United States.

Can I ship to multiple addresses or use drop shipping?

Yes, but each set of notebooks would need to be placed as a separate order. Contact us to arrange special shipping requests.

Do you offer local pickup or special shipping options?

No, local pickup or custom shipping options. We ship via USPS or FedEx/UPS Ground.

What happens if my package is lost, stolen, or delivered incorrectly?

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. Beech Tree Paper ships to the address entered at checkout, so please review it carefully before completing your purchase. We are not responsible for packages lost during delivery or for stolen packages once they are marked as delivered.

What materials are used in your notebooks?

We use high-quality paper and covers designed for writing, sketching, and everyday use. Some are 100% recycled, and most use FSC-certified paper or cover stock. Hodgepodge Journals contain paper that is neither recycled nor FSC-certified.

Are your notebooks eco-friendly?

Yes, we offer recycled and responsibly sourced paper options, and sustainability is an important part of our production process. All paper scraps are donated to a local charity, which receives payment for recycling the material.

Are these notebooks good for writing, sketching, or mixed media?

Yes, our notebooks are designed for a variety of uses, including writing, drawing, and creative projects. Most pages are not meant for painting, best used with a standard pen or pencil.

Can I order a sample before placing a large order?

What is your return policy for custom notebooks?
